Owner/Composer/Facilitator David De Palo
David has scored and/or orchestrated over twenty Studio films. He holds a Master's degree in composition from the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University, a Bachelor of Arts from Hampshire College, and an artist's diploma from The USC Thornton School of Music in Scoring for Motion Pictures, Film and TV. He has studied with Elmer Bernstein, Jerry Goldsmith, Buddy Baker, Bruce Broughton, Christopher Young, David Raksin, Joe Harnell, and Marc Shaiman.
De Palo is also a writer, filmmaker, philosopher, motorcyclist, father, son, brother, friend, teacher, student, business man, and artist. In short, he believes in living life to the fullest.
Deciding to move his studio from Hollywood to Thousand Oaks was the genesis of the concept behind Fun-do-mental Music. "Wow, this would be a great room for recording..." was his first thought on seeing the expansive main room of the studio. Thus Fun-do-mental Music was born.

Susan Ross: Co-Facilitator
Susan’s passion is leading business owners and teams to build a better business while creatively serving their ideal clients. She helps define or clarify their vision and develop a focused mindset and a systematic approach to achieving desired results
Susan has devoted over 20 years to business education and marketing as a sales trainer, consultant, business owner , executive coach and speaker. She’s founder of Blue Ocean Business Coaching, Mastermind Monday, and IBMW (Interactive Business Makeover Workshops). Susan created and launched nationally accredited business college, Ross Business Institute, which trained over 500 professionals for new careers as business owners, managers and sales specialists. She has 10,000 face to face sales presentations to her credit; a B.A. Degree, Human Development from California State University, Northridge; and Susan is also a Certified Business Coach, Certified Post Secondary Director, and an instructor for the International Association of Facilitators.

Frank Burman: Musician
Frank Burmann brings a driving, unstoppable beat to Fun-do-Mental Music. He is passionate about World Music and Hand Drumming. He specializes in West African Djembe, Middle Eastern Doumbek, Talking Drums, shakers, and the magical Australian wind instrument called the Didgeridoo. What is most unique about his musical skill set is that he incorporates all the elements, including the Didgeridoo into his drum kit and plays with a combination of sticks, mallets, shakers, and hands while keeping an enchanting drone on his mounted Didgeridoos.
Frank graduated from CSUN with honors and holds a Professional Clear Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with an emphasis in (CLAD) Cross-cultural, Language, and Academic Development. Mr. Burmann also holds degrees in Psychology.
Musically Frank has over 15 years experience in studying drum-circle facilitation; he has studied and participated in drum circles lead by Arthur Hull, Kalani, and his mentor Eddie Tuduri. He has studied the work of West African master drummers Mamady Keita and Paulo Mattioli, as well as taking classes under master drummer Dibo Camera.

Seung-Un Ha: Concert Pianist
Aptly described as a rare combination of silk and sinew, Korean-American pianist SEUNG-UN HA is equally praised for the uncommon grace, crystalline tone and singing legato she brings to Mozart, and the power and passion she brings to Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky. Her international career includes engagements with the Milwaukee, Pittsburgh, Quebec, San Diego, Baltimore, Utah, Phoenix, Pasadena and Pacific Symphonies and Tulsa Philharmonic; Florida Orchestra; Germany's Bremen Philharmonic, France's Orchestre Symphonique Français, Scotland's Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Mexico's Orquesta Sinfonica de Mineria and Mexico City Philharmonic; Buenos Aires' Orquesta de Camara Mayo and the National Symphony of Taiwan. Festival invitations include New York's Chautauqua (Rachmaninoff #3 under Paul Nadler), "Mostly Mozart," San Francisco's "Midsummer Mozart," Ravinia and Aspen. She made her Hollywood Bowl and Los Angeles Philharmonic debuts, performing Beethoven’s Third Piano Concerto, Lawrence Foster conducting., and her Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra debut, Music Director Jeffrey Kahane conducting. Other conductors with whom Ms. Ha has collaborated include Zdenek Macal, Leonard Slatkin, Joseph Silverstein, Maximiano Valdes and George Cleve. She has also offered acclaimed recitals in Washington, D.C., San Francisco, Philadelphia and Detroit.

Crystal Dawn: Assistant
Crystal studies Early Childhood Development and runs her own business: Loving Pet Care (805-427-6405 in her off time. She's also a multi-media artist. Crystal is CPR certified and nearly fluent in American Sign Language. She plays Ukulele and Harmonica, grows a nearly self-sustaining vegetable garden, and raises turtles, koi, and ducks in the pond behind her house. We are very lucky to have her!

Michelle Fontaine: Musician
Michelle is a wonderful singer/songwriter/musician with an infectious laugh and a glowing spirit. She plays piano and guitar and sings. Michelle began playing the piano at age 3 and began composing her own songs on the piano at the age of 8. in her early 20's she began playing the acoustic guitar and has since written over 300 guitar based songs.

Michael’s work in the holistic arts & science began in 1995 when he obtained his Massage Therapist certification. He enjoys the healing and energy work that ends pain & suffering for all those that he works with. He has studied many of the Eastern philosophies and sciences and has incorporated them into his work with people. Michael also enjoys math & numbers and pursued a simultaneous career in the financial industry, which began in 1997.

Shiva Win: Client Liason
Shiva is a Singer, Writer, Life Coach, level two Reiki Master, and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Ecology. She began her career as a wardrobe assistant and later transitioned from the film world into spiritual service in 2003.
Shiva's purpose is to awaken humanity by bringing more joy into people's lives; all it takes is one smile. Through her work as a healer and meditation teacher, Shiva has witnessed the power of ‘intended music’ to elicit positive changes by reducing overall stress, and producing a higher level of clarity and balance. From her personal experience, Shiva finds music allows people to come out of their shells and experience their higher creative selves.
